I was being stalked as well.. hey t.. on Monday when you were texting me.. we were on our way back from Pittsburg.. you were actually texting with Gennie, (I told her to say it was her) I was busy driving and getting a speeding ticket..
Cop pulled me over for 75 in a 50.. apparently I was in a construction zone. I always thought a construction zone was workers, bulldozers, dump trucks.. etc,.. apparently in Ohio the definition of a construction zone is orange barrels and cop cars..
I told Gennie to show him her hoo haas but she wouldn't.. so I got the ticket..

get this.. want to make some money??? this is all you need...
a bunch of orange barrels..
some cop cars
unsuspecting out of state motorists.
a website
just made my $204 not tax deductible contribution to the great state of Ohio.. You know.. I don't know about any other state but here in Indiana, the reduced speed limit only applies when there is actual work going on... if they are working there will be signs with flashing lights.. which means the speed limit is reduced.. no flashing lights means no work which means normal speed limit... but noooo not in Ohio...
50 MPH is in effect rather they are working or not... I can't believe I spent $15 in toll fees to have to go across half of Ohio at 50 MPH..

Sorry you had to feed the beast Soup.
I have cousins in Western Ohio (Sydney, Bellfountaine) and the locals
blow my doors off passing me on those 2 lane roads....OHP radar units
everywhere, and I have out-of-state tags...Think I'm going to do it too?
Not hardly. I'm driving like granny there.
As you know, times are hard and out-of-state drivers are prime targets
for local law enforcement "fundraising."
They know they have you by the short-and-curlies if they write you up,
and they know you don't want the expense and lost time at work to
travel to court there and challenge it.
They're hitting hard and fast in my state to make up for lost revenue too.
Here, a work zone speed limit is constant, and they throw in a bonus $200
for speeding in a construction zone - in addition to the regular fine.
If you only paid $204....I'd consider it a lesson learned about Ohio and
roll on, Bro.

Don't start none...won't be none.
Yeah states are all different with their fees and fi es and laws. In Oregon (where we are too stupid to pump our own gas) the school zone is always in effect but here it is only in effect during posted hours on school days.
I like that states can differ from each other but sometimes I thnk the lawmakers are a bit off.
