What kinda name would you never use for a pet?
I'm thinking of things like: "kick" the dog
rushlight suggests "shave" the cat, but I think she's aiming for the double-ententre....
"catch" the fish is a given.
"trap" the mouse
"poison" the rat
maybe "squeeze" the
bird
Any more?

LOL Some of those are good ones that I would use. Of course, I do own a cat named Road Kill. Our vet found him in the middle of the road one day when he was a kitten and after she fixed him up, she gave him to us. She loves his name.

Is it wrong to name a black dog "Sabbath", or a duck "Goose"?

We had a dog named Stay.
"Come here, Stay. Come here, Stay."
It went senile after 3 months.
