The only critic is her son, who Hambleton says is "very, very unhappy" with the ad and claims the alcohol was left by a passenger.

Is the ONLY PERSON he should be mad at.

MY pops tried to apologize for being so strict to me when I was young,
but I let him know, on no uncertain terms, that I "Never got a whippin' I didn't deserve."

trust me, I had summa that comin'. ....LOL

That is a GREAT mom! I am glad to see she is doing this. I hope the son learns whom he should be angry at from all the calls and other responses she is getting.

What I wonder is, is the "friend" still allowed to hang out with the kid? Does his parent's know?

If Bear or Eagle left something like that in some other kids car....(insert bad thing here)

Mom and dad said the same to me about a year ago, and I said more or less the same to them. Except for the grounding for 2 months on a bad report card- that we agreed was too much.

My mom was pretty strict, and the school she sent me to K-8 was private, so it was strict there, too. But I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt that my mom loved me and that made all the difference.

TWO months? Dude, that was Summer camp in MY childhood. :-D

My BROTHER rode MY mini-bike in the street, and my old man sold it.

I wasn't even THERE! LOL

My dad never apologized for anything except for not getting me into sports. :) Of course, I was the last of seven kids. My sibilings thought I got away with murder sometimes. By then the parents are too tired to care as much. :) "Oh, the baby is crying? Put it out in the garage. It'll stop eventually..."

Not bad t! LOL

You turned out wonderful too, so again - the system worked!

If you're working hard, supporting your families, teaching children right from wrong, staying out of jail and doing the right thing, than your parents DID THEIR JOB.

I hold that over my sister's head- there were two of us and to this day I say to her:

"You had it easy, mom and dad made all the mistakes on me. You had a free ride" :-D
