Dear Doctor 'toe,

When you said, "What is truth? There are no absolute truths," did you mean that absolutely?

What is truth?
There are no absolute truths. The truth of a theory is merely its power to produce predictions that are confirmed by observations. However, different theories can produce similar predictions without one of them being right and the other wrong. "True" knowledge is the one that best survives the natural selection for predictive power.

I shaved this morning and that's the truth because it already happened.

I did not see it happen so I don't know if it is true. :-D

But how can you say, "there are no absolute truths" when that is an absolute statement?

If there are no absolute truths, it follows that that statement is not true.

Dear Dr.,

I am preparing for a trip "back east." What shall I bring?

I suggest you just bring your kind self. Maybe some abstract realms of thought but leave the math at home. I am a odd ball but quirky and lovable. Yet on the other hand I'm hypersensitive to imaginary slights; I'm a compulsive hoarder, and frugal to an unusual extreme so I'd pack a wash cloth to use and reuse for TP. We will go to the local steam to wash our cloths and bath, picking berries and grubs along the way for dinner.

Dear Dr 'toe,

Abstract thought, but leave the math at home. Does this mean I cannot bring any Rush with me? The lyrics have abstract thought, but the music has math.

Dear Curious About Everything,

Me too and what did the other priest have to say?
I don't know anymore than any other person so
you tell me and be the doctor for awhile.

Dear Doc,

The other Priest said: There was this girl who couldn't say "Kenneth," and she said, "K-k" when she tried to say, "Kenneth," and for some reason KK stuck with him.

But, alas, I cannot be the doctor. The govt. says I have to have a piece of paper for that and I do not have "a" piece of paper. I have many pieces of paper, since I am a teacher and I keep much paper around to write things on and so my students can write things too.
