Im ready to start bitching....cept Im gonna need a Diehard battery to start this mother...
ok, at work we have a very large conference this time of year every year. You get used to the stupid questions after a couple of years, but the annoying ones I never tire of bitching about.
I work in customer service, we closed registration on Friday, delegates must now register onsite. I've said this God only know how many times today (at least two hands worth)...but my last one took the cake...
Him: "I want to register for the XXX conference"
Me: "I'm sorry sir at this point you have to go to the XXXX place and register there"
Him: "There's no way for me to register over the phone"
Me: (getting annoyed and its showing in my voice): "No sir you must go to XXXX"
Him: "But I'm flying out of [a big east coast city] and what if I arrive and there's no room?"
(At this point the stress meter is on overload as I am so tempted to ask why he waited so long and hang up)
Me: "There will be plenty of room, fly out to XXXX and register onsite"
Him: "There is NO possible way for me to register"
Me: (very short and abrupt) : "no"
Him: "Fine, thank you *click*"
