Okay, since I'm responsible for destroying this topic, I shall restore it...hopefully.
"Success is not the result of spontaneous combustion. You must set yourself on fire"
"How are the biscuits and gravy?"
"Oh, they make ya wanna slap ya momma."
"When I'm givin' my wife a hug, I don't wanna throw up in her ear, so I don't drink beer"

"I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" ...
"I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." ...
"I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th... By August, I was a communist."

"May heaven to this union continue its beneficence. May brotherly
affection with union be perpetual. May the free Constitution which is the
work of our ancestors be sacredly maintained and its administration be

Don't start none...won't be none.
Just a comment on the Army Strong slogan being disliked. I don't get what is wrong with it. The men and women l have met who have served in the Army have been strong. Add to that the fact that my boy has been training before he went to boot and is taking his traini g seriously while he is there, even to the point of turning down the cookie shipments neighbors offered to send him because he doesn't want to eat junk while training and l just don't see the problem you have with Army Strong. You are talking about people who train and work hard, not ones who are at summer camp.
What am l missing?

"War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and
degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is
worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is
willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal
safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless
made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself."
-- John Stuart Mill

"You need only reflect that one of the best ways to get yourself a
reputation as a dangerous citizen these days - is to go about repeating
the very phrases which our founding fathers used in the struggle for
independence."

Like you mentioned: What an apt statement TODAY.
Don't start none...won't be none.
Whoa l didn't mean to make you think l was freaking out at you. Just a sincere question being asked cuz l really don't get your point of view on it. Again, you made a statement and gave nothing for me to understand it by. I gave my side and asked for yours but will drop it.Raiden wrote:Calm down, I just don't like the commercials.
