You will all know after I do.
As long as the missus and I aren't boring you all to tears with this house thinger.
If anything you make me feel better. There are days I ged so sick of my house I just want to take a wrecking ball to it.
(Oh and my father, the practical joker, turned the power back on when I was trying to finish wiring the light..."hey dad is the breaker offfFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY that f**king hurt!!!" followed by the sound of his laughter...)

My dad might have done the same to me.
I wonder what he thinks looking down on my life.

I'm sure he is proud of the man you are. Hard worker, devoted to family, bringing up the kid right.
And if we were bored with the house pics and updates, we wouldn't come in here and post! LOL

Great progress on all the home renovations.
Keep your spirits up and plough on through it.
Lots of good things are not easy to do and
sometimes, they will try your patience to tears
but perseverance pays in many ways.
Remember it's not the destination but the journey that counts.

We are still wondering how long till we get the deck porch in front done. The windows and siding are done and looking pretty darn good if you ask me.
Today Todd and I are gutting the old furnace and blower out of the basement. A cast iron octopus system converted to gas some time ago. It's coming out fairly easily so far. The real fun will be swinging the sledge hammers to bust the cast iron into man portable chunks.
On a brighter note, I can now walk upright thru the entire basement.
We are getting pix as we go.

It took about 3 hours for the furnace to come out. About another 2 hours for the cement to get busted out where the furnace was secured to the floor.
Here are some of the pix we took during the "destruction."
This one is after the first duct was taken out.
The stack for the chimney is out.
Blower stack and all the ducting out.
