I'm doing pretty well except for number ten. Whenever I sit down with a Carvin catalog, I covet.

Carvin websites, no matter how boring, are just as bad. That last one is a real toughy, number 6 too... :-D , some issues with #5 arise from time to time.

Sometimes I have trouble with the 10 commandments.

I understand how basic they are and if people lived by them then we'd all be better off. They're so...so...logical.

But a lot of people who "stand" by them don't "live" that way. At least in my experience. The whole "thou shalt not kill" one REALLY gets twisted. Like in war.

*crawls back under blanket and hopes a simple thought like that isn't challenged too much*

Chalk that up to translation. Most of the English Bibles we have were translated from Greek texts. If you go further back to texts from which the Greek texts were translated (like Aramaic for this example) we find that this commandment reads, "Thou shalt not do murder".

There is such a thing as justifiable homicide which cannot be categorized as murder. The David and Goliath example springs to mind.

I dunno. I tried to figger that out a long time ago. So often they trash us wimmen. I know a lot of women do the same back. Makes no sense in this short life. Entertainment? I dunno.

I don't ged it either. :?

I love men. Always have. But I don't understand how "angry" they ged at things that can't be helped.

OK, Elfie, thanks.:)

I think people need "bible interpretation" lessons or something.

Myself included. It's such a HUGE part of our human experience. Whether you follow it or not.

Yeah me neither, they say they want us to be open and honest but at the same time make it hard because they don't like the truth and take their feelings out on us even though its not our fault. Not just men though.

( I know---is anything serious with me?)

Okay, I'll try:

Possibly because we want things to be simple and easy.

We are "fixers". We look to fix things and get agitated when we can't,
or can't simply or easily.
Which leads to issues in relationships because there are times women don't necessarily want things "fixed", just talked about or worked on.
(note - I'm not saying that is bad)
So when solving isn't an option, that takes thought, effort and time.
Which leads to frustration due to lack of resolution, which can lead to difficultness in most males.

(This must be the most I've typed on this board without a joke in my time here. )
