I haven't been following that closely either - I feel like it has lost something in the last 5 or so years.

All Jimmie does is drive what they put under him. He's just lucky that he's
had the best equipment and the best personnel on every level of that team,
from the guy sweeping shop floors to the guys on top of the pit box.

Every year.

Trust me, it's not all Jimmie. Look at the man's NNS (Busch)
Series record. It stinks! Did he get "great" overnight in Cup?

I don't think so. In my opinion, JJ had greatness thrust upon him. Let's not
forget that Rick gutted the 24 team to make sure JJ won it a few years ago.

I'm telling you...Nemechek could win in the 48 car with that team.

I was glad to see Junior finish the year strong. He was 2nd in chase points
earned this year. I see good things happening for Junior next year.

Yep....another manufactured championship for the 1-win wonder from
the Busch Series.

I need a drink.

I hope they bust on this new 3 car driver for losing in the famous 3 car more
than they hated for Junior losing by simply having his father's last name.

This kid has no idea who's shoes he's trying to fill, but I wish him luck.

Isn't that the kid that Harvick was busting on a few months ago?

Actually he dissed both Dillons, but "apologized" later.

It's going to be interesting to see what new car rules nascar's going to make
for 2014 after yesterday's testing session at Charlotte.

Not that it's going to hurt the 48 team one way or the other - since they
practically OWN the place ("Lowe's" Motor Speedway)...

Nascar had 30 drivers with 4 different car changes run in a "race" that
Harvick "won" and was sick fast.

I am glad to see the 3 coming back.. I wished it would have been Junior to drive it but apparently he is trying to create his own legacy outside of his father's shadow. Childress has a lot of emotion tied to that number as well so to put one of his grandkids into it is kind of cool. I think Dale Sr would have been ok with that.

From what I've read, all parties on Dale Sr.'s side are giving their blessing.

Here's Junior's:

Dale Jr is all class. I like how he put that, numbers are like a bucket and people add history to the bucket

I don't have any issue with Dillon driving the 3 (as does 90% percent of America) - I think he'll be just fine.

No problem here, either.

I'd like to see Dillon and Junior win races next season. However...

Let's see what car/rule changes result from last week's testing at Charlotte first.

It's going to help some teams and hurt others. Nothing new there.

In fact, I predict that FORD gets the rule change "benefit" this time around.

Just a sidebar question here:

Jimmie didn't do the test. Did he really need to?

We shall see.
