Yeah, I saw on the news that some copies have thirty-something pages omitted...don't know exact numbers...

What is the thing you refer to?

"Professor, is that your wand pressing against my back?"

Seriously though, good for gays, bad for children of strict religious parents who refuse to let their children read this wonderous story anyway (forcing them to read it behind their backs, btw), and now can say, "See? I told you this was an evil, immoral pile of blasphemy! Oh, and your precious Dumbledore would, if he was real, burn in Hell!"

And if anyone's gay, it's Quirrel and Snape! :-D

As far as parents go, and as far as the books went, Dumbledore was a-sexual. That part of his life was never even hinted it. Nothing for any concerned parent to be concerned about. :)

So the actor playing him is gay?

So what.

Is the character in the book gay?

So what.

The guy that owns the place I work at is gay.

So what.

Dig that, Elf and Hairy. There doesn't seem to be any reason for J.K. to announce this (even though she was answering a question from a fan) other than to try to further normalize gayness and attempt to remove some of the stigma that is attached to being gay.

It's her world. If she wants my hero to be a ponce, what can I do about it? Write my own stories, I suppose.
