Seriously though, good for gays, bad for children of strict religious parents who refuse to let their children read this wonderous story anyway (forcing them to read it behind their backs, btw), and now can say, "See? I told you this was an evil, immoral pile of blasphemy! Oh, and your precious Dumbledore would, if he was real, burn in Hell!"
And if anyone's gay, it's Quirrel and Snape!

Dig that, Elf and Hairy. There doesn't seem to be any reason for J.K. to announce this (even though she was answering a question from a fan) other than to try to further normalize gayness and attempt to remove some of the stigma that is attached to being gay.
