Had a rough late fall 2010 - ended up with pneumonia and a suggestion from the doctor who saw me (after he went through my record) that if I kept down this road I would more than likely end up with emphysema.
After reflecting on it for four days - I quit that night. I used the patch and it worked great but your milage may vary.

I can remember going to the store as a kid with $5 - getting a pack of smokes for either mom or dad, a gallon of milk and a candy bar and getting change back.

Yup... when they sold cigs to anyone, I would go for Mom and Dad and get 4 packs for like 8 bucks. Now I'm lucky when the bodega around the corner has the cigs off the truck for 8 bucks a piece. Beats the 12 I would normally spend. Don't remember what they were when I started in '88
