How cool about the flying squirrels!
Other prominent trees in my area are the Aspens that you mentioned, maples, weeping willows, Russian olives, cherry, pear, apple, and many that I don't know the names of. There are lots of evergreens (pines, and blue spruce in particular). My yard also has elms (weeds, basically), a "horse chestnut", ash, peach, one of the aforementioned pines, and a couple of other weedy trees that I don't know what they are.

Cool....
My place has a mixture of Oaks (Red, White, Pin, Water Oak), Fig, Maple, Dogwood, Poplar, Cedars, Lilacs, Sweet Gum and Loblolly Pine....I cut the evergreens waaaay away from the house, 'cuz I'm on a well and evergreens like to drink...They'll send roots 20 feet or more into a well or drainfield...
I gotta get Sigette to stop feeding critters on the back deck, as I got the bejeezus scared outta me a couple of weeks ago...
I was leaving for work at 5:00 AM, but was heading out the door to feed the chickens before I left...Anyway, there's a 10 point whitetail buck eating corn Sigette left for the squirrels...3 feet away!
He LEPT over the deck rail, which is about 8 feet above the ground...And he didn't miss a step....hahahaha I almost pooped

WOW! That's awesome!
I also have a bunch of lilacs... but I thought of those as bushes rather than trees.

The major difference over here is that we go by the number of bedrooms and not the actual square footage. I have a modest three bedroom semi-detached ex-council house that is by no means grand, with a front and back garden and not enough cupboard space, I'll post a pic when I've mown the front grass

.

Mine is four bedrooms, but the closet in the master bath is large enough to be a small bedroom....
But it is still just three trailers stuck together.

I have three tiny bedrooms with virtually no closet space. And one bathroom.

I have 2 bedrooms and a small kitchen and small bathroom. The basement is our bed room, and our office is 1 of the small rooms downstairs, the other is a small playroom for Scoot.
Huge fenced yard.
