Tigerlily died today...have no idea how...there was nothing next to the cage that she could have ate and I fed them this afternoon as she was fine...went to give them some pears later the night and at first I thought she had escaped when I gave them carrots earlier on...then Caelan noticed behind the litter tray that she was lying there...I am quite upset...
Now I dont know what to do about Peebles...I know rats are social animals..will she accept another rat coming into her cage..?

rats should not be kept together, unless you raised them from birth.
He said if you try it, you have to supervise them.
Don't start none...won't be none.

I'm so sorry Tigerlily died, Schu. And I feel sorry for Peebles too. I know like BBO that rats are social.
I had rats as a kid (rescued from my Dad's animal lab once they were "done" with them during his oncology research....oh I waited) and at first they were diff from the usual "fluffies" I owned like hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, all that.
The rats were social and fun. I hope you can find a companion for Peebles.

Freeze this moment a little bit longer...
