What part of, "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances" don't they understand?WASHINGTON ? Another Democratic U.S. senator has gone on record as supporting the reinstatement of the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," adding, "I feel like that's gonna happen."
Sen. Debbie Stabenow, D-Mich., told radio host and WND columnist Bill Press yesterday when asked about whether it was time to bring back the so-called "Fairness Doctrine": "I think it's absolutely time to pass a standard. Now, whether it's called the Fairness Standard, whether it's called something else ? I absolutely think it's time to be bringing accountability to the airwaves. I mean, our new president has talked rightly about accountability and transparency. You know, that we all have to step up and be responsible. And, I think in this case, there needs to be some accountability and standards put in place."
Actually, I'm sure they understand. They just want to get that pesky constitution out of the way. Silencing the dissent is a part of that.
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

The way I've heard it is this: we aren't taking your right to free speech away. We are making sure those who have different views from yours have their free speech protected.
Still it is an abridgment of free speech if you tell someone they can't speak unless someone with the opposite view speaks as well. I could see this if the other side had no chance to speak now, but that is not the case. All sides have the chance as the law now stands.
And what a sly way to keep your opposition from speaking! If there is simply no one from the opposing view willing/able to speak, well, I guess you can't speak either! Tsk tsk, too bad, really.

This is one of the weirdest columns I've every read. I don't even want to comment.
Just... see for yourself...

Her final line, "What will happen if fantasy turns to contempt? " brings to mind Dimebag and even John Lennnon. It really is a bit scary, knowing people are living Obama fantasies on the one hand and feeling "Obama-inadequacy" on the other.

Well, it's official. Obama is a socialist. There is no way to sugarcoat the statement that "Only government" can stimulate job creation.
Excuse me. Where does the government get their money? From taxing the people. Where do the people get their money? From their jobs. Where do the people get their jobs? In a FREE MARKET ECONOMY!
It is the free market economy that is the only way to recover jobs and stimulate the economy! That is, unless you are a socialist and believe the government is the answer to all our social woes.
*sighs*

Can't say I am surprised. You can ask Ayn Rand what I think of full blown socialismzepboy wrote:Well, it's official. Obama is a socialist. There is no way to sugarcoat the statement that "Only government" can stimulate job creation.

The S.P.'s are sure trying their best to shut Rush Limbaugh up.
O'Reilly's next. Then, maybe Sean Hannity....
Do ya feel the change?
Good luck with that, Madam P.! Don't try to hide in the backround!
Come out and play!
I'll be sitting back and slamming serious brewski watching this bullfight.
This ain't RUSSIA - Get the fark outta here.
