Delta is strong enough that if she wanted to push it with me, she could. But, I have the advantage that I have been training her since she was lil, will continue to train her until she gets fully-trained in all I want her to be, and,
she's my baby. Having her see me as her momma dog and having her trust me are huge, in my way of thinking.
At least she'll never weigh more than I, though! LOL

Onward and Upward!
Yeah. My dog could do the same, he could even kill me if he got lucky. Actually without a collar on, he has the advantage...my main way in defending myself would be choking him off of me...secondly grabbing both sides of his neck and holding on...that would suck with him biting my wrists. Anyway, but at least he doesn't overpower me by 50lbs like the Cane Corsoawip2062 wrote:Delta is strong enough that if she wanted to push it with me, she could. My dog isn't psycho but wasn't raised right by the person who had him before me. He is also very dominant but more passive aggressive but he's still kind of a pup. I have to stay ahead of him on the dominance thing for sure. With the wrong person he'd be a dangerous animal. He has a very high prey drive...even towards people and has shown his defense drive since he was 14 months. I have to be in control of him at all times. I don't let people pet him, I don't let him "greet" other dogs...I'm the leader, I take care of strangers (for their sake).
Overall he respects me but I have to remind him of that sometimes. I also had to work on some trust issues with him. Thanks to the person who raised him, I have had to do a lot of work with building his confidence with certain things. Like with grooming, the first time I brushed him he screamed like I was killing him. Now with simple marking of correct behavior and positive reinforcement, he is really good...not afraid of being brushed.
I love my creature

We're all mad here!
