:-) Paul Harvey is the Man.
He was great.

He also did so many of those advertisements where he talked about the products himself because lots and lots of listener surveys indicated that he was the most trusted/believed voice in radio. Says a lot about his skills (or his genuine nature).

Anybody care to guess who comes out on top in those same listener surveys today?
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Neither. Rush doesn't do that many ads himself these days.

Jim Rome from "Rome is Burning" (ESPN Talk show) and the Jim Rome Radio Show keeps it real and hawks products on the radio show.

Survey says...

The most trusted voice in radio these days is Glenn Beck.

Cool. I didn't know he had a radio show, but I can see why he'd be the most popular one out there.

He's been doing radio since he was a teenager.

I think he's still number three in popularity (listenership), with Rush at number one and Sean at number two. But I'd listen to him over those guys any day.

Paul Harvey grates on my nerves any more. His politics and my politics are quite different.

As for Glenn, I am SO glad I was introduced to him! I really enjoy listening to him (have to stream him on the computer, though). My dad had his TV show on the other day and I mentioned it and told him I liked Glenn, too. He said it was just on for noise. LOL Well, that's some decent noise!

I wish there was an FM station that carried him here. The AM signal doesn't really get inside my lab which is in the middle of a big cement box...

Give him a listen.
DUDE! He's the same age we are!

Hey! Check this out! LOL
Rusty is a singer/songwriter. In addition to writing more radio morning show jingles than anyone alive, (heard on radio stations all over the world.) His song, Do The Bart Simpson, made national charts and was the inspiration for The Simpson's Multi-platinum CD.
