Ya know, the strangest thing happened to me today as I was driving my route. I went to pull the fuzz outta my belly button, and out popped the biggest chunk of felt I had seen in a long time. Ok, it wasn't as big as a pool table cover, but it was huge, almost big enough to take on a life of its own. Stranger yet, it WAS the same color as the shirt I was wearing. I spent the rest of the morning wondering how the heck it got there. It was surreal, and I occasionally wondered if there were hidden cameras trained on me waiting to capture my reaction. So I played it straight without showing any shock, dismay, or anything.

Ok, here is one that my warehouse guy's and I have been milling over for a few days.

With the recent earthquake in California, and the prediction of a major one in the next 3 years here is the senerio we have been pondering......

What if the epicenter is say........San Francisco. Mostly in the area of the Golden Gate Bridge area, during rush hour, and a loaded section falls into the bay............................on a passing Aircraft Carrier?

I know, highly unlikely, but so was the planes into the buildings right?

Imagine the damage, the carnage, the possibility of the nuclear reactors in the Aircraft Carrier rupturing.............................OMG.

Ok folks, let's hear your pondering on this. I am curious to see various thoughts. Real or not of how bad this could be.

Sorry if I sound morbid or gross, just something we have been milling over.

Well, that is indeed a tragic scenarios. Can it be you and your friend have too much time on your hands? LOL (just kidding).

Well, from my experience in the nuclear navy, I would say that the chance of the reactor actually rupturing is less likely that any of us pulling a nose hair from a charging bull. The design characteristic are such that, even in a well orchestrated attempt, the integrity of the primary reactor core will remain intact. It is designed to most likely break out the bottom of the ship and rest on the sea floor. This is a best case scenario in that the coolness of the water keeps the neutron and alpha leakage (if any) attenuated. Bear in mind that these nuclear ships are designed for warfare, and are design much better than even the safest of automobiles with all their crumplezone technology.

I believe that the greatest concern should be in the ignorance of an uninformed public that will respond with hysteria.

My first thought was one that I probably shouldn't share, since I'm rather ashamed of it. I'll just say that it had to do with Pelosi taking a break from Congress and visiting home...
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?
