We've been promising the pix of the front window and bathroom window.......... Here are some of the front window....
This was a solid pane of glass when we started...
Will is starting to take the old casing away from the window.
The window coming out......... That thing was heavy.
Nick looking out the window hole........... "I see you"
Leon in the open window hole.
It got kinda cold in the living room while this was going on. We put up a blanket to block the cold from the rest of the house.

Wow, check out all those pics! I'll bet you save a mint on heating and cooling after the window change.

The last window was the bugger of them all.
Willy measured this one super tight, and had to bust out the "SAWS-ALL!"
Here is try to fit #1..............................and nope!
He was cussing at this point.
So up goes foam board to stop the major debris from getting in whole the saws-all does its thing.

Ooooooooh, wiring is fun. Remind me when I have a little time to tell you about my wiring clusterfuck I found in my basement.Walkinghairball wrote:Then the siding, then the 90% efficient gas furnace and new ducting, and the attic insulation and wiring redo, and and and.
Yes, after the money is spent, it will be all good.

I'm not too sure how labor intensive it will be. Attic too small, Leon no fit.YYZ30 wrote:Ooooooooh, wiring is fun. I just know the inspector when we bought the house said the fart fan was venting to the attic, not out the roof, and the wiring was not right. So I will hire out on this one and get it fixed.

You're lucky. My dad and I (Labor day 2005) were going to put in an outside light to replace the old nasty one and put in a ceiling fan. The ground broke in the outside fixture, and I pulled on the wire to get a little bit more, and it undid all the wiring inside the wall. We took the wall aprt to find that the numbnuts who owned the place prior had runs 4 sets of wires into a single switchbox...it was a mess. We had to reroute all the wiring and put it into a new junction box about the switch mounted to the stud.Walkinghairball wrote:I'm not too sure how labor intensive it will be. We didn't get the ceiling fan in that day...
