the Americans havent really taken to Cowell....infact after the auditions I'm amazed he never got death threats lol

I must respectfully disagree. Simon always gets the most applause and is the only one that really gets respect of the contestants.

I only watched the auditions too, they cracked me up.
When evil is allowed to compete with good, evil has an emotional populist appeal that wins out unless good men & women stand as a vanguard against abuse.
