This is a sad list.
Dave Clark Five
The Ventures
Leonard Cohen
Afrika Bambaataa
Beastie Boys
Donna Summer
Chic
John Mellencamp
Madonna
Do the math.......................only 3 or 4 of them played rock. There is the Material pop star, and 2 hip/hop rap groups. The other 2 are disco..........
Again Rush gets snubbed for trash.

Cuz I am a rocker and a hair metal kind of guy. Beasties don't fit that.
Still, to have them hacks in before RUSH is a f-in joke to the genre.

Dave Clark 5? Meh.
The Ventures? Influential. The get a yes from me
Leonard Cohen? WHO?
Afrika Bambaataa? Yes, he was an influence
The Beasties? Over Rush? This is a snub.
Donna Summer? Meh.
Chic? Yes- they merit a nod.
John Mellencamp? Early 80's rock would have a huge void without him, so yes
Madonna? Thats a toughie- if it were 5 years from now and she had retired from performing music to direct movies or produce other musicians I would say yes. Now? Not quite.

Ummmm....
they just didn't fit in well with Priest and Dio and Megadeth. I couldn't take them seriously at all. Sorry, just me.
