California Fires and Nuttalls

Post by awip2062 »

Have you all seen the news about the fires in California? I was reading an article about them and I saw the name Susan Nuttall.
Susan Nuttall sat in her black Mercedes in a cul-de-sac just off the Pacific Coast Highway, saying she had fled her condo just below the Pepperdine campus.

"We're all scared to death and we have nowhere to go," said Nuttall, 51, still wearing a bathrobee and holding her Chihuahua.
There are 2,304 people in the U.S. with the last name Nuttall. Think she may be Carrie's kin?

There's a good chance of it.
And hey, how did you find out how many people in the U.S. are Nuttalls?

Not only that, but the Carvin factory is only about a mile from the fires now as well.

I saw scary pictures of fires on news at 6. The people who have lost their
homes so close to the holidays, it's terrible. It seems it's just one disaster after another here in the USA. When is the wind going to blow some good things along for this country?

It stinks, that is for sure! But, this isn't the first time California has had wildfires like this. Nature regularly burns the chapparel. It needs it. Doesn't mean I like to see wildfires. I've lived through some and know how it feels to evacuate, to be told your home is gone, to wonder if your family and friends are okay.

Why, oh, why can't we have controlled burns to keep this from happening?
