Author of the wheel of times 11 book anthology died on the 16th battling amaloidosis. Shame he didn't get the finish that final book. May he rest in peace.

Tell me of this book. I've not heard of it.

It is a really thick fantasy series (huge books). It sort of starts off borrowing from some dune and tolkien (as most fantasy does) but that is dispelled after the first book and he just kept going with it. Very good stuff, the mages are all women as men tend to go crazy. The women characters are almost without exception very pompous and annoying though. It is filled with great writing that is very descriptive. Not much more I can say really, it definitely has a lot of oddness and hanging plot lines.

I would recomend them, and the Dark Tower by Stephen King was AMAZING, not a king fan or anything but wow

Sir MyDweeb failed to mention that there were plenty of annoying male characters as well.

A good series though, and the author will be missed.
