The things we do for love

Post by ElfDude »

In my case, for the love of my children. During the next couple of months I'm taking daughters to concerts.

My older daughter's favorite band is They Might Be Giants. And that's cool, I like them. I'd promised her that we'd make sure she saw them on the fall tour. Well, turns out that the show in our state is for 21 and up only... and she's 16. D'oh! Fortunately there's a 14 and up show in Idaho. So, she and I will be making a road trip to Boise just to see the concert, spend the night, and come home again the next day.

Actually some one on one time with her will be good. I'm sure we'll have a great time.

Then there's my 12 year-old. There's a concert she's really excited to go see too. So, I bought a pair of tickets. Who are we going to see? Hannah Montana (aka Miley Cyrus). D'oh! #-o This will be my first experience at a big show where the audience is made up primarily of parents and their little screaming girls...
Aren't you the guy who hit me in the eye?

Kudos and woohoo for you Elfie. Hey there is nothing more macho for a dad to do stuff with his girls. Hey, if I can play Barbies with Scoot, you got it made bro.

You know, Boise is about half way to here. :-D

My kids want to see RUSH!!!!!!!!!!! Too bad its way too expensive, & its hard enough just to get 2 tickets to their shows.

Only one of mine wanted to see Rush. I'm glad she got to come. We had a good time together. :)

Scoot had a great time at Rush with us, too bad she fell asleep in the second half.

This is so cool, bet there's a lot of kids out there
who wish they had Dad's like Elf and Hairball.
Like the girl whose Dad threw out the concert tickets
so she couldn't go with her date.

Way to go, Elfie! I expect that no matter what you think of the band, you will cherish having been to the concert simply because of the memories you make with your kiddo that day.

We also take Scoot to the Disney on Ice shows (except last year). She loves 'em. I love disney stuff too. Sometimes WHB doesn't always like the musical parts of disney shows, but he still goes with us. :-D

There needs to be more dad's like you guys. :-D

Another concert tomorrow. It'll be one of those all day kind of things with tons of bands. My daughters wanted to go because the Aquabats will be there. They love the Aquabats!

Another good act will be Toad the Wet Sprocket. But I dunno how many hours we'll be able to endure...

Toad the Wet Sprocket and the Aquabats!
Sounds like a very entertaining day to me.
This is entertainment in Utah?
You folks are more laid back than I imagined.
