PUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. -- A new pair of hands pulled Punxsutawney Phil from his stump this year, so it was only fitting that the groundhog offered a new prediction.
Phil did not see his shadow on Friday, which, according to German folklore, means folks can expect an early spring instead of six more weeks of winter.
Over on CNN they're reporting that "Kyoto Al" has predicted that folks can expect to burst into flames within the next 10 years due to increased CO2 levels in the atmosphere.

Happy GHD backatcha Elfie. That rocked.
*keeps wary eye out for signs of spontaneous combustion*
In case you hadn't heard of him, Kyoto Al is known as the "protocol penguin". He came out of his igloo this morning and didn't see his relfection in the ice.

along those lines, exactly HOW MANY Punxsatawney Phil's
have there been? The number's gotta be UP THERE.
I can remember him since I was knee-high-to-a-dime.
No idea. There used to be a marmot in my state called "Utah Joe" that the reporters would watch on Feb. 2, but I haven't heard anything about him in a long time.
