Would you like me to take you outside in your wheelchair today for a nice walk? The sun is out and we can put a blankie over your legs to keep you from getting chilled. And put your Rush hoodie on you also.
Happy birthday, Matt! Enjoy the Home of the Useless. Keep it interesting, so when I get there to join you it isn't a boring place, kay?

When I was a boy we didn't have Rush hoodies!!! We had to use the leftovers from when they was skinnin' the bovines and the lame horses t'keep warm! Sometimes the fleas made ya itch somewhat... but we could always fix that with a Balsam Specific!

Matt...you have told me that story thousands of times. Don't you remember what you tell me?

But Matt...you ALWAYS tell EVERYONE the same stories.
You talk about the priests and that thing that made noise and lightbulbs that blink and on and on about how hard it was.

Nobody appreciates the wisdom of an old man anymore...

The old man?s sitting there, his head bowed down
Every now and then he?ll take a look around
And his eyes reflect the memory-pain of years gone by
He can?t regain nostalgic dreams he?ll never see again
With trembling hands, he wipes a tear
Many fall like rain, there?s one for every year
And his life laid out so clearly now, life that?s brought death
So nearly now life once he clung to dearly lets go
But spare a thought as you pass him by
Take a closer look and you?ll say
He?s our tomorrow, just as much as we are his yesterday
A lonely grave, and soon forgot
Only wind and leaves lament his mournful song
Yet they shout his epitaph out clear
For anyone who?s passing near
It names the person lying here as you
And you...and you...and you...

Well, that's pretty nice. But somebody already wrote a song about my death.
What are you staring at
In that hospital bed?
Let me explain
I wasn't thinking about anything
Then it hit me that Montana was really just a leg
With the round part just the way you would expect
And it started with a feeling that ended in a leg
And it seemed to me Montana was a leg
A leg
Now I get it
I'll tell the person next to me
And then haul off and die
I won't need this
Electric folding bed
I can lose these
Tiny pillcups now
'Cause it hit me that Montana was really just a leg
And then just like that it all fell into place
And I don't think I can stand any longer in this bed
Since I figured out Montana was a leg
A leg
Now I get it
I wasn't sure but now I know
And I can finally go
Give out my lungs
Give up and tell the information to the man in the next bed down
In the morning he'll tell someone the last thing that I said
When I told him that Montana was a leg
From the beginning there was something about it staring me
In the face I should have guessed it right away
When it started with a feeling that ended in a leg
And it seemed to me Montana was a leg
A leg
Now I get it
I'll tell the person next to me
(I'll tell them that Montana was)
I'll say Montana was
A leg
Now I get it
I wasn't sure
But now I know
And I can finally go
