This one has got me concerned. I don't know if any of you are following this, but so far ten churches have been burnt in Alabama. Authorities believe that they are arsons likely caused by the same people. The fires all started inside, mostly near the pulpit. About half of the churches have black congregations and the other white.
Another church (an abandoned one) was set on fire in a copy-cat act by a "mentally troubled" man.
This weekend another church had a fire set outside that only did minor damage to the building.
A fire also burnt down a building that houses a Christian-themed apparel business and the same day a fire did damage to Methodist campus ministry at the University of Alabama.
This may be nowhere near me, but it is near the Rushian who coined the moniker "The Rolling Headstones," and, truthfully, proximity is not what my concern is really about.
The one that had only some damage on the outside (which the authorities do not think was done by the same people as the ten which started this whole shebang) was perpetrated on a church with vinyl siding. Seems it was a malatov cocktail used to start that.
