Bay Area Rush Fans Gathering at Chez Rae Rae

Post by Julie »

Richard Carter, who does super Rush graphics (you've probably seen his stuff at RushCon) is going to be in The Bay Area this upcoming weekend. So of course, it's a wonderful reason to party! :-D

Feel free to come on over to our place in Walnut Creek. We'll be having a BBQ, Rushy stuff, goofy times and plenty of booze.

It's this upcoming Saturday, anytime after 4pm.

We'll have the slip 'n slide and the pool ready too. Kids, of course, are more than welcome.

PM or email me for directions.

Hey Julie, is Berkeley still like it's own planet?

I was there for a week in spring of 1997. I felt like I had time warped.

They just decided to change the name of Thomas Jefferson Middle School, because Jefferson owned slaves.

Too bad they don't realize that Berkeley, the dude whom the town is named after, was a slave trader! :-D

Alright, so, truthfully, how many of us have slave holding or trading kin in our backgrounds? Many, and I mean many Americans have that in their family history. I am not saying it was right to enslave a whole race, because it wasn't, but I think that sometimes we throw out the good a person has done because of the bad we see not realizing that we all have both within us. And then we don't realize that others we hold up have bad things in their lives too that we just don't know about.
Onward and Upward!
