a week's peace

Post by schuette »

Next Monday, the 18th, Jade is going away with the school to a place called Castle Toward for 5 days. It's this big old castle that now takes in schoolkids for outdoor activities such as gorge and hillwalking, treetop rope courses and things like that.
It sounds like a blast and I want to go!! but Jade is getting really nervous and she's now saying she doesn't want to go....She's got no choice in the matter as I'm making her go! I know that sounds cruel but she doesn't want to go cuz she'll miss me and Caelan but she'll love it when she gets there ...
I'm not gonna tell her how much I'll miss her though ;-)

aww..i know the feeling, whenever i'm about to go somewhere, i always get to that point where i really DON'T wanna go..but i end up going anyway & having a good time, so don't worry about that! (which it sounds like you're not..good mommy  )

have a good week!! :-D

she got there safe and sound and she only cried a wee bit when she got onto the bus....but I've had no word from her so that's good.......they're not allowed to phone home as it usually upsets them.........so unless they're really distraught I wont hear from her...

wish Caelan was there as well though ;-)

Jade came back on Friday and did enjoy herself......well she started enjoying herself Wednesday morning.....seemingly she was really homesick for the first two days but they talked her out of coming home. But she loved all the activities like gorge-walking and hill-climbing and the treetop rope thingy :-D
