In Toronto, you cannot drag a dead horse down Yonge St. on a Sunday. Wonder if it is ok to drag one "up" it then? :-D

The best one on the British Law Books (I don't know if its been repealed yet) is the fact that it is illegal to eat Christmas Pudding on Christmas Day

It's illegal to 'hitch' your alligator to a horse post in New Orleans.

Ya wannna know the most ridiculous law in NY.... It was called the blue law which means that between the hours of (I believe) 4 a.m to 12 noon on Sunday, you could not purchase an alcoholic beverage.

I think it's still in place, 3T. The bars close at 4AM and are not allowed to open until noon Sunday. I don't know if that applies to 7/11 beer purchase, though.

Has the law changed? It's been a while since I've been to a bar till 4 AM but last Spring I was in a bar to watch a match from Ireland at 10 AM. I think they served us beer. A few years ago I saw a match and they served coffee and OJ but at noon the PINTS came oot!!!!

I didn't know that bars closed, or that there were restrictions on the sale of booze until I moved away from New Orleans.
