Ayn Rand fan? Or anyone who reads.
If you have not already, you really need to read Terry Goodkinds series, The Sword of Truth. He is a big Ayn Rand fan since high school, his series screams those values majorly, but wit a Medievil/science fiction setting. I am so addicted to his work, just as much as Anthem, & Atlas Shrugged. My husband & i met Terry once, was an awsome experience, was only during a book signing, but we chatted about Ayn Rand for a few moments. He personalized both of our books, they are very special to us, he (&his books chars) are among my hero list.

I must confess that I'm not much of a Terry Goodkind fan. I fread Wizard's First Rule, whichI quite enjoyed, but non of the others really engaged my interest. If you're talking fantasy, I'm a big fan of David Eddings and Terry Pratchett while, on the SF side, I love the work of Philip K Dick

Never read Ayn Rand and heartily ignore my wife's Terry Goodkind, perhaps I should explore...
'David Eddings and Sir PTerry...' stop copying me Slaine'
. I've just reread the Belgareth prequel to be honest.
I'm a huge Pratchett fan LisaB as is the goodman Slaine'. I took my son to meet him last year (meaning Mr Pratchett, not Slaine'
).

I have read most all of Eddings, Feist, & McCaffrey. Along with the Earthsea books, my husband reads aloud most every night, he wants to get some book that is Pre-LotR trilogy, he says the first 100 pages are boring as hell, but it gets better after. Then he wants to re-read the SoT series, to lead back up to book 10 that will be out next Jan.
I will say, that if you do not read the whole SoT series, your missing out, in my opinion, it just gets better & better. It was funny, Terry put "We the Living" in one of his sentances, only Ayn Rand fans would get that hehe. This last book has made me bite my nails until i have none lol, well & partly by watching Stargate, but mostly the book did it. I even cried over 2 of the almost last chapters.

I mentioned this comic strip to LisaBug because I know she likes Rand a bit (okay, so she may not be the only Rushian who likes Rand, but we were talking about her sig and that reminded me of the strip) and then I thought I might share it here with alla youse other Rushians.

One main reason i suggest Terry Goodkind, is the fact it is a huge story all about Freewill etc. It is such a strong stand out story, the end of which is comming this summer. Will be book number 11 in the story, so you still have time t oget caught up if your interested. I am VERY passionate about the things i love, so yes i am a freak as some call me. Although a shy one in real life, mostly i keep to myself. I would never go up to a famous person if i seen them on the streets, or become a stalker etc.
