Bah Humbug!

Post by Ogg »

Just to remind you that my hectic festive schedule is about to begin. It's not an easy job being an English postie at xmas.
Basically I have to work 65/70 hours a week until xmas eve. I will be sorting/delivering/collecting/driving from 4 30am-6/7pm so please understand my infrequent posting.
Thankyou.

I know how to solve that.

Put all the packages and letters in a huge box, and two days before Xmas, mail them to me! :-D

Ogg, I dont envy you. I remember, as a kid, how hectic it always seemed at our house. My parents both had jobs that made the holidays hectic. My mom was a waitress. My dad was and still is a meat cutter.

We will see you when we can.

Ogg, sweet, I remember this last year and my heart went out. You ARE Santa Claus! This time of year it's so much pressure on alot of us and we grump and complain.

But we rely on YOU to get it done once we've grumped and complained ourselves all the way to the post office. We count on YOU to have it done and DON'T even THINK of you grumping and complaining since we have you in our trust and couldn't handle the thought of a postman grumping, complaining or having a boil on his ass, a cold or flu or a or a hang nail or a bad day or ANYTHING that would not get our precious packages to our loved ones.

Ogg, I want to really thank you for what you do and the sacrifice at this time of year. It REALLY means alot to us. Hidden, sometimes silent, you do what you do to make others' lives easier. It makes me sad this is a tough time for you especially when you GIVE more than others do and we may not see it.

Like I said last year...THANK your postman! Give him a tip, a nod, a hug, a cake, a DRINK! HE is sacrificing his Holiday time so that others may sit back and enjoy theirs and know they did the right thing by their families. I did so to my postman last year because of you and I thought of you and will do the same this year and in the future. (BTW, that goes for all girl postal carriers too but it was too hard to edit the sex--like he/she or him/her out of each statement--as I know women postal workers too who sacrifice as much as Ogg)

Merry Christmas, early, Ogg. And thank you ahead of time. :)

Sigh, I have an hour and eleven minutes break before I go back on the road collecting a multitude of parcels. This is set to be the busiest year yet...thanks to bloody e-bay! Only twenty three days to go...

Thanks Kares' :-) .
