"...like a brilliant shooting star" heralds this cool synth thing exactly two minutes into 'Middleton Dreams'. It's funny that one small segment of a song can lift one so much, the piece always has the same effect and I simply love it :-) .
"The middle aged madonna..."
It is more than music and only we understand.
Do you have little smidgen of Rush magic that you'd like to share? Go on, it may be fun :-) .

"It's understood
By every single person
Who'd be elsewhere if they could
So far so good
And life's not unpleasant
In their little neighbourhood

They dream in Middletown..."

The weird thing is I think I know exactly what you're talking about.

Life in two dimensions is a mass-production scheme...

All the busy little creatures, chasing out their destinies...

Winding like an endless river, the time is now again...

Put your message in a modem, and throw it in to cyber sea...

If I could wave my magic wand...

That's all for now, but did I get the spirit of the exersize?

There's about a million of these.

Quick to judge, quick to anger
Slow to understand
Ignorance and prejudice and fear
Walk hand in hand

I think that's the lyric I've quoted the most in my life, it is so true ;)

There is never love without pain.....

of salesmen....of SALESmen....

The entirety of YYZ always gets me hyper too.

I'm sure there will be more as I wake up. :-D

Here we come, out of the cradle.
Endlessly rocking!

I wish that it might come to pass,
Not fade like all my dreams...

Don't feed the people, but we feed the machines.

The look in your eyes as you head for the door
Is a cold fire.

The one I've quoted for years....

I will choose the path that's clear
I will choose freewill

Summer's going fast,
Nights growing colder
Children growing up-
Old friends growing older
Experience slips away...

Talk of a Peaceable Kingdom
Talk of a time without fear
The ones we wish would listen
Are never going to hear

Hi Kares... haven't seen you for a bit. Hope all is well

I took a walk recently while these lyrics ran through my head, and ended up having to go home and write something myself. Neil and nature both inspire.

You can surrender without a prayer
But never really pray
Pray without surrender

You can fight without winning
But never ever win
Win without a fight
