Yeah, you be sure to take care of yourself in that stuff, Bro,and everyone else dealing with it, kay?

Our schools usually wait until 0530 to decide if they'll run 2 hours late or not have school, but after no school yesterday they cancelled again for today before supper time last night. Welcome to Christmas break, kids!

Our power's out, so we're gonna camp in the house and cook on the wood stove until it comes back. Only one I worry about with power outages is my dad and he usuall stays in bed well past now and has tons of o2 tanks so he should be He's got a cell phone, too, if he needs to call me he can. I'll go check on him about 1130, though. He may be up then.

we had rain and stuff last week, it usually rains all winter here, usually 'snow days' are called with like a 3 " fall in as many hours, first time I've been here (5 years) I've seen a good snow like this. we usually get an inch or 2, then it rains and is gone, repeat all bloody winter

What may have an effect on it is that he's at a lower longitutde than we are, if I recall correctly. Def. south of parts of the US. Dunno if that combined with the layout of the land in his areakeeps the snow down and rain up or not but obviously something does.

Called myy dad. He'd woken up because his machine that pulls the O2 out of the air and then pumps it to him was not working from no pwer, hooked himself up to the spare tank he keeps by the bed and went back to sleep.

We just got our power back. Was an easy fix as it was caused by a power line down on the rez. Only out two hours.

good point t!

Longitude fools many of us.

For instance, the southern tip of Illinois is at about the same
degree as Richmond, VA.

We are just starting the first band of snow here.

We are expecting 12 inches plus now, and the snow won't abate until tomorrow morning

Got the green light to leave at 1pm, and I got home about 2, and the first flakes started falling when I got about 6 miles from home. It's coming down at quite a clip now.

I am home, and going nowhere.
