Amazing how people always bring up the riots.

99% of the fans are relatively well behaved- its the 1% that screw it up.

The girls won the first game of the day. The worst they can do now is second in the NW Region! :-D

They will be playing Ellensburg, WA, the team that took second in WA State. Dove's team has beaten them before, but will they again? *bites nails*

Next game was to be at 5pm, but has been moved to 3:30. The kids are eating and heading back to the park.

Well, it is over. They lost the championship game in the bottom of the last inning with the winning run at bat. Final score was 7-5.

The girls were really disappointed and cried a bit, but by the time they got back to the hotel, they were better. Once the pizza arrived, they were smiling. Then, we all went to a water park, paid for (get this!) by the opposing coach!

Washington State will be represented in the Babe Ruth Fastpitch 12-U World Series, though, because the team that beat us was Ellensburg, Washington, the second place team from the Washington State tournament.

All the parents on our team agree we are really proud of our girls for making it this far. Not many kids can say they have been second best in their region.
