And for the record, I (along with other Vets, as HB stated) were trained in unison for every ceremony, invocation etc.

It has nothing to do with coersion, intimidation et. al.

you wanna see the latter, just watch al Jazeera...I rest my case

but why should I pray to God for them.....I dont believe in God....I have my own way of remembering them and sorry to say God is not my way

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

Not sure what your point is...

nothing to do with praying now schu....we're talking about the personal FREEDOM to do it or not...

I'm okay with agnostics, atheists or what have you...

Personally, I have faith--but I'm not a "Bible-thumper"

I go to church(when I feel like it...and not as often as I should)...but that's a personal evaluation, and no one has to like it....

it's the FREEDOM TO DO SO...or NOT :-D

I commented on that picture which showed heads bowed...praying..
my point was that not everyone had their head bowed and I respect that....so it was about freedom of choice.....my choice is to not to pray also

I hate it when fuckers want to ban praying in schools...its so stupid...nobody is making anybody pray so why can't you pray if you want to? So much for freedom. But better yet they can't enforce it anyway

D'oh!!! *feels stupid, but it's not the first time*

*flips a couple of pages*

5 ? And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Ah, yes, there's a point there.

So, I guess I have to ask, are you just making a joke or do you not know to who and what Jesus was referring when he mentioned the hypocrites?
