It's really getting to me...its making me think of life more..not having the career I want...not being able to drive yet..not owning my own home...shit loads of stuff is getting to me...
the main thing...which I have no hand in...is Cameron not being here for it...that's really getting me down...
I remember being a bit down approaching my 40th, only because I was self centered ASSHOLE! Work, work, work so my children could have it better than I, but I lost something along the way TIME! I'd give all my trappings of life away for just one more hug from Amy. I know you know Heather, nothing is worst in life and there isn't a reason in the world for it. Sometimes I think I'm going crazy and still have such a diffecult time, not many can imagine. I suppose ther are millions in the world just like us, yet we feel alone. A hug is the only birthday gift I desire.

(((((((((((((((((((((Kev and Schu)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Ya know, I would LOVE to be able to hug the two of you at once. *smiles at the thought* You both bring much to my life.

I have dealt with similar feelings, Schu. I look about at all the people I admire and see what they have done with my life and then look at mine and see what I have done. I quit university to teach my kid and now, 15 years later, where am I? Well, I am at home teaching my three other kids and over 2000 miles away from that first one.

BUT...although I never got that PhD I was working on, and I have not accomplished things my friends have such as professionally recorded music, discovered ways to cure epilepsy and pull people out of comas, made art that people buy and enjoy, et cetera, I have to remind myself of what is truly important.

en I am on my death bed, I WILL be glad that I invested myself in my family, that my kids knew me and loved me and knew that they were loved by me. And I have friends and family who I am blessed by and do my best to be a blessing to. What is more important than that? Other than my relationship with G-d, nothing is more important to me.

So what if you don't own a house, Schu? Will that really matter in the end?

Besides, my mom taught me that life begins at 40, and, in her case, it rather did. So...I figure that I am almost ready to BEGIN life.

Thanks for the hugs, Kares and T! :-D

Dawn is right it is all about family and friends in the end; not who has the fastest car or nicest house. While certaintly it would be nice to be rich, as that brings a better education, which brings a better understanding and a better taco.

I really don't know how to explain this, perhaps it's age but sometimes I feel like a fool giving advice or complaining, as it just brings heart ache or concern to others.

Well, working in not-for-profit I'll never get rich! :-D I had to force myself into the revelation of "no nice house and car" early and I'm comfortable with that. My friends think I'm nuts.

And I've ALWAYS loved tacos. :P

Tacos! Mmmmmmm sounds delicious! I like mine with homemade salsa that has cilantro in it. And a good onion that bites.

What a person says can be foolish advice or complaining, and it can mske hearts ache or people concerned. It can do good as well though. And, what is wrong with a person being concerned for another? I hate what I see when I look at the people in this world who are not concerned for others.

Kares, you ARE nuts! :-D

I certaintly didn't mean I don't care, if anything I care to much.
It is good that you are comfortable with what you have Kares as life shouldn't be a Competition http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbY0Jh9_RJ8

Schuette when is your birthday anyway?
