I bet they both look like crap after that article is out.
I doubt the FF spoke about oil in specific, since it wasn't a big deal at the time. But I bet they expressed opinions regarding whether to harvest our own natural resources or to import them.CygnusX1 wrote:Five'll getcha ten that Obama flip-flops. They'll be listing the positions of McCain and Obama (by using quotes from them) on a series of issues. Next to those positions they will be listing the positions of several of our founding fathers, and then Karl Marx and Josef Stalin on the very same issues.
You can probably guess what it's going to look like. It's a shame it won't be online for everyone to see.
have stood on oil though. And yeah, that WOULD be something to
actually be able to SEE IT ONLINE.
We can only hope it gets posted. I'm stoked to see the comparisons.
I agree. It would fall under our natural resources and imports/exports.ElfDude wrote:I doubt the FF spoke about oil in specific, since it wasn't a big deal at the time. A female suspect is dead and a police officer was shot in the head in a gunfight in Lehi Monday morning.
The shootout occured around 9 a.m. Monday when a Lehi officer tried to pull over a woman in front of a Holiday Oil gas station near 850 East Main Street.
When the officer approached the car, the woman apparently shot him in the head.
Other officers responded and shot and killed the woman.
Sky2 video shows a body covered with a sheet lying on the street. It also shows a gold car with Washington State plates parked alongside the road.
The officer was taken by medical helicopter to the hospital. No word yet on his condition.
That was awful. The officer prolly let his guard down for the woman too.ElfDude wrote:A local story. I was just at this intersection Saturday evening on my way to a gig only a few blocks away. You Washington people gotta quit sending your wackos down here...

Turns out that my friend/co-worker is the next door neighbor of the officer that killed her after watching her shoot the captain. My friend tried to call him after hearing about the event (mostly to get information) but wasn't able to talk to him until he went over to the house and rang the door. He said, "As soon as I saw his face, I knew he'd been involved."CygnusX1 wrote:Hairy, I feel bad for you and Elf because it hit so close to home, but other
than that...the girl was 100% whack.
she's lucky...the cops ended her suffering quickly.
The police officer has months - if not years - of pain and rehab and
therapy to go.
