Just out of curiosity, which team has the worst record, always gets well and truly beaten and doesn't have a cat in hell's chance of winning anything this eon. I'll probably end up supporting them as I have a soft spot for underdogs, hopeless causes and lame ducks.

Well, Slaine, right now it is Tampa Bay who are the "losingest" team in baseball. Feel free to root away. Just keep the Red Sox in your heart.

God the truth really hurts sometimes.

As long as you don't mention any team that may be from Dallas. I have an aversion to Dallas. iT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF MY MOTHER SUBJECTING ME TO THAT GODAWFUL SOAP IN MY FORMATIVE YEARS. iT MAY BE BACAUSE, FOR THE SHORT TIME I FOLLOWED AMERICAN FOOTBALL, I WAS A REDSKINS FAN (REDSKINS- COWBOYS)
SORRY ABOUT THE CAPITALS BUT I HIT CAPS LOCK AND AM TOO LAZY TO RETYPE

Well in that case, I'll keep my opinion of the Red Sox to myself...
GO ANGELS!
Another road win with half a team. Excellent!

If you want to pull for lame ducks, you have a host of choices....
Cubs
Red Sox
Rangers
White Sox
Expo's
Those teams may not have the worst record at any given moment (in fact, some of them are doing pretty good right now), but the chance that one of them will win a championship is almost non-existant.

Howz about my plucky Angels?
Shutting out the NY Spankees with 1/2 the team on the DL.
Looks like we've lost Glaus for the season.
DAMN!

DAMN!
But it took them 11 innings to score a run.
How 'bout Randy Johnson. Watched that game from the 6th inning on.

That is truly incredible. A perfect game.
I guess Ol' Stick Boy can still bring the heat!

Struck out the final batter with a 98mph fastball. His slider was 88-91 even in the 9th inning. Hell, his slider velocity is faster than the fastball of alot of other pitchers.

Well, I certainly favor anyone who's playing the AL West.
There's such a long way to go, it's hard to get
too worked up yet. I'm hoping we can survive this injury streak and be very strong in the second half.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Mondesi can make a significant contribution...

How about that Sox/A's series, By-tor?
Holy cow! There was some serious scoring. Too bad it wasn't ALL done by the Sox. That last game I didn't get to see but sheesh... I guess the A's had a point to make?
