Hey Bro! Dovey bought a drum stick at the festival and I found it was much easier to twirl than the Neil sticks she has or the others that I have, both of which are smaller than the one she bought at the festival. Is it normal that fatter sticks are easier to spin?

First of all why did she buy just one drumstick?
I have never given it a thought, I have just spun them. It don't matter to me. BUT, I do have big fingers, so thatt might help,......... for me at least.
I guess other than to *RAZZ* you, I had no reason to post.

For the last year or so I've gone on about how much I love my little Carvin Vintage 16 amp. A little while ago I had a chance to plug it into a new 2x12 cab my brother just bought, loaded with Celestions (one Vintage 30 and one I forget which it is). And I really loved what it did for my amps tone. More bottom end, a bit more focused, etc.
After hearing that, I couldn't help but notice the limitations of my amps tiny cabinet. It's good (it also has a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker... same speaker Steve Vai uses) but it can't help being just a little bit boxy. So, since I've recently sold a couple of guitars, I decided this might be the way to go. I bought a used (since they stopped making them several years ago) Carvin Vintage 4x10 cab. Now I have a little stack! Kind of reminiscent of the Fender Bassman...
For the really small shows I'll still just take my amp without the cab, but I'm crazy about how nice this setup sounds now. Tone tone TONE!

nice amp Elfie.....I have a 40w Crate about that size, and it'll shake the windows...I can't wait to get a cab for it like yours...
Heynow...is that a 60th anniversary Strat?

Nope. It's a 25th anniversary Squier Standard Stratocaster. The silverburst finish won me over. I've replaced all of the pickups and electronics with Carvin components. It went from being unusable live to a real tone machine when I did that.
Somebody swiped the Carvin logo off of my cab. I need to order a new one...
