Well, I took "chick of wood" to be a mis-typed "chunk of wood." Then, since Zepboy is married to my sis, it made me think of wooden Indians. Hence, my reference to a statue of t. A chock block is a piece that you put against a tire so it doesn't roll. The phrase "chock-a-block" means "crammed so tightly together as to prevent movement" so perhaps he's thinking of a really good party last Saturday.
