Don't start none...won't be none.
Any public building in the state of Mass. is smoke free now. Pubs, bars, strip clubs, etc. Business is still recovering after 5 years- granted I smoke and I don't care that I have to go outside- why should my decision to smoke affect everyone else...CygnusX1 wrote:In my state they are (for the most part), but they're losing businessschuette wrote:are all the pubs over there non smoking as well now..?
hand-over-fist, so they're making designated and ventilated smoking
areas available.
The fight rages on here.
my two pennies.
*steals bottle of rum and takes off*
get the bottle of rum back!...you get it for nothing anyway
Im a smoker and I opposed to going outside for a cig...couple of reasons for that..1..its fucking freezing going out for a cig in Scotland in the bloody spring and autumn never mind winter!
also I go out out with my mate who is also a smoker...now we then have to finish our drinks..lest they get spiked...also we cant leave our stuff there so when we come back in our seats are taken..or we have to go out at separate times
I should add a lot of pubs in Scotland has the smoking area out in the street and your not allowed to take your drink out
my compromise...dont know about over there but near enough even the smallest village in Scotland has 2 pubs...put a sign up...this is a smoking pub...this is a non-smoking pub....the choice is yours

Ontario did that in early 2000's also. Now you cannot even smoke in car with non smokers / children, and I say that is excellent. People should be more courteous than to poison their own offspring. Glad you have the responsible approach Zed, and don't effectively shove it down the throat of others.YYZ30 wrote:

The window is not a proof solution, it just allows you to ignore a lot of the odor, its a jerry rig fix. and you hardly know some ass-munch is going to light up mid trip as a childschuette wrote:unless it is your own kids...and then when Im in a car the window is down regardless of the weather the window is down....if its not your own kids and them and their parent are getting into the car..THEY HAVE THE CHOICE
they do not need to get into the car
