I worked in a truck stop for a few years in Oregon. I heard many stories about angry moose charging trucks that were intruding on their territory. Them critters get pretty ornery at times, and do quite a lot of damage.

Yup, Siggs, I'm still on holiday in Alaska. Right now we're doing the wash before we head to another campsite on a river, near the lodge we stayed at last year, we hope.

Cool. You washin' clothes on the crick bank?

Now THAT's ruffin' it! :headbang:

I love primative camping. We don't even take matches.

I use a little hand bow, and take a magnesium/flint block for backup.

We'd clean our fish in the creek and cook 'em up over the fire...

good times.

No, Siggs, we aren't ruffing it. We are in a 31 foot class C motorhome! lol Even when we are dry camping we have a stove, an oven, fridge/freezer; hehe We did the wash at a laundromat.

Since I posted our doings we've seen and photographed a young bull moose, took a three-hour river raft sightseeing excursion and leant local history, moved ove to the other side of the peninsula and camped on the banks of Resurrection Bay in the town of Seward (home to the 1910 start of the Iditarod), eaten za, had a crow on the roof yelling at Dusti through a vent, seen bald eagles yards from the front of the motorhome, and watched sea otters play in the surf most of today. Oh! And today I met a five year old male Doberman who lives here in Seward. He makes Delta look like a giant! LOL

Tomorrow we plan to move to yet another river and then we will start our way back home again.
