Last night I went out to dinner with a group of girlfriends. One of our group had moved to Oklahoma a few years back and she is in town visiting us, so we had our "excuse" to get together and eat Chinese.
My friend Camille's in the upper right corner with a scarf on her head. She started losing her hair last Wednesday from her chemo, the day her wig showed up (she told me she thought G-d had a sense of humor! lol), so her son Rylan shaved her remaining hair off so she didn't have to go through it falling.
The rest of the girls are:
Back row left to right -- Carol (her daughter and Dovey play softball together), Sierra (Camille's eldest child), Jodi (her daughter played softball with Carol's daughter and Dove, but now has moved up a level), Sharon and Jan (friends from church), Camille.
Front row left to right -- Ruth (used to be Sierra's boss, now lives downstairs at Camille's and does the housework and cooking since Camille can't do much more than hold down her job so she keeps her insurance), Naomi (Camille's best friend and one of my best friends), Mary (another of my best friends, the visiting woman whom we were all trying to convince to move home to Port Angeles and who just may soon! ), myself, and Melanie (our friend who used to go to church with us till she moved to the town just east, wife of the owner of three pizza stores!).
