There's something about rest stops... I don't know if it's some sort of mystique left over from childhood road trips or what... but rest stops are happy places to me. Get out of the car where you've been cooped up for hours, stretch legs, walk around, breathe the fresh air... good times!

I get the same thing. As a kid I remember having picnics along the way at some rest stops. Guys with guitars playing for a hotdog, Frisbees, that cute girl over there with her family from Canada. We walk together for a while alone and promise to write, never to hear from each other again.
Too right, it was a kind-of magical place when I was young.

There is a certain stigma associated with rest stops in Massachusetts- thats why 90% of them were closed.
If you really wanna know- ask.
They are nice up in NH and ME though.

Now my best rest stop memory involved a goat, and steer manure...........J/K!!!
Actually we drove close to 10 hours straight once and when we got out of the car, the wind whipped all out drawing paper out of the car. My brother and I had to run after it. BUT, after being "couped" up for so long, our legs didn't work real well.
Run Forrest run comes to mind.
