So last night I had about 45 minutes to noodle around with some vocal ideas for "Lost" and had semi-success with a possible chorus hook. It's coming along like a tortoise, but steady. So here is a short clip of my version of Soup's song. It's just a guitar, voice and a microphone. No individual tracks, drums, bass or anything else. You'll have to imagine them yourself until I can get some time to write the entire piece and record it properly.

Speaking of lunch, I went out to my car a while ago with all of the political junk swirling around in my head. Turned on Limbaugh, then NPR, then over to Prog-talk.
Then I remembered music.
I slid in a CD and it all just went away. The anxiety, the good and bad feelings of voting for the Evil Of Two Lessers. The intricate melodies and chords seemed much more important than any of it. Maybe that's the key to happiness. Just play a song or pop in a disc. Realize that what is really important is what takes you to that "place." Away from the fray.
