I once wrote a parody song about Star Trek TNG. It was to the tune of Little Pink Houses. Whenever I'd play it at parties it got a lot of laughs. I'd post an mp3, but it was never recorded.

Maybe I should record it someday.

I guess I'm strictly "old school" Star Trek. My older brother was a complete Trekkie. Model Enterprise, posters, books, telescope, even Tribbles on his bed (don't ask).

When I was wee, my mom was the one what drooled over Spock. I thought Kirk was cool, especially after finding out he had Dobermans like we did and gedding to see him at some dog shows.

Sadly, I've got to inject a serious note to all Trek fans here. I found out today that James Doohan has been diagnosed as having alzheimer's. According to a member of his family, he can give you chapter and verse about his time on Star Trek abd his involvement with the D-Day Landings, but he can't remember what he had for breakfast. I'm sure we all wish him well.

I saw him at a convention last year, and it was apparent then. He looked terrible.
