Vinnie Colaiuta
This guy baffles me. Sometimes he's playing some simple accompaniment (very polished, of course) and other times he's just way out there with keeping track of strange time. He can be as smooth or as unpredictable as I can believe.
My son Bear is stoked that he is going to take a class from Vinnie this fall. I am thinking about it; it depends on who else has a class at that time.
