Well, I tried to trade my van in last night and buy a Prius and they offered me $2000 BELOW wholesale for it! As if!!! We will take it to Car Max tonight to see what they can offer us and go from there. If that doesn't work to our satisfaction, we have an appointment in the morning with another dealership, and I like the fleet manager there MUCH better than the other one! Wish us luck?

Keep in mind that dealers are in business to MAKE PROFIT...(notice I didn't say 'money' - there's a difference.)

I have been thinking about selling it myself, but the thieves who stole it originally still have a key to it. They could come back at any time and take it again. (And hide it just well enough that the police will find it right before the insurance totals it out. ) I'd really hate to walk outside to drive it to work and it's gone again! Sigh...

So get it re-key'd.

We already had to do that for the truck, and it was $400+ dollars. We don't want to spend that on a van we don't even want! I thought about this last night as I was trying to sleep, and I came up with a plan: we'll park the van at our in-laws' place and sell it from there. The thieves won't be able to find it and my father-in-law will be happy to help us! Especially since it won't involve borrowing money...
