EDIT- Eh I see Willie's point after reading the newspapers articles online (about if he went to SD he wouldn't even think of asking for 55) but Willie- you're the one who left the team, if Junior wants to wear it, more power to him. Remember Steve Largent "unretired" his 80 so one Jerry Rice could wear it....

The stats for Daisuke Matsuzaka over the past 10 years. Has Theo Epstein and the Boston Red Sox lost their freaking minds!!!! 51 mil just to win the rights to talk to this guy. I know if he does not sign they get it back, but I have to guess its gonna cost them 100 million to sign this guy. a pitcher who only gets the ball, what 30 to 40 games in a 162 game season. Plus he is 26 years old. no spring chicken with 10 plus years of wear on his arm. I would think you could revamp the whole rotation with quality guys for that kind of jack. I was wondering what you Sox fans think of this?
